Panel presentation introduces smart windows and their light-control properties, demonstrates various configurations and uses of smart window products, and discusses their sustainability benefits.
May 2, 2012. Research Frontiers Inc. (Nasdaq: REFR), the developer of patented SPD light-control technology, announced today that Gregory M. Sottile, Ph.D., the Company’s Director of Market Development, will participate in a panel presentation and discussion entitled “Window to the Future” at the 2012 Buildings New York conference and exhibition on May 3, 2012 at 10:45AM at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York, NY.
As building energy requirements become more stringent and the market demands more glazing, the window industry is shifting from a “one-size-fits-all” approach to one that provides glazing solutions specifically tailored to different regions and applications. The “Window to the Future” panel will introduce smart windows and their light-control properties, demonstrate various configurations and uses of smart window products, and discuss their sustainability benefits.
Greg Sottile is joined on the panel by Anthony Branscum, Director of Architectural Sales for Research Frontiers licensee Innovative Glass Corporation, and John Hannum PE, LEED AP and Vice President of Israel Berger & Associates, LLC. Marc Weissbach, COO of Israel Berger & Associates, is the panel’s moderator. The session has been approved for 1.5 AIA/CES Learning Units.
Buildings New York will be held May 2-3, 2012 and is expected to provide more than 7,000 small- and mid-sized buildings owners and managers with the tools they need to lower their operating costs and source vendors who can help them enhance the value of their building. More information is available from the event website.
